Step Nine

Approximately 3 days after the egg retrieval you will return to the doctor for the transfer of 3 to 5 embryos. Some women will wait till the 5th day for the transfer of a blastocyst. After the transfer you must remain in bed for the remainder of the day. You will be given Doxycycline, an antibotice to take for several days to prevent infection.
